2 Workers Injured After Car Crashes Into Long Island Business

Two workers suffered injuries after a car crash into a Long Island business.

It happened around 12:10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, in North Merrick.

A 24-year-old woman driving a 2019 Dodge Charger, was involved in a collision with a 2019 Jeep Cherokee being operated by a 71-year-old woman, Nassau County Police said.

The Charger was heading eastbound on Jerusalem Avenue and struck the Jeep which was heading southbound toward Ott Lane, while exiting a parking lot and attempting to cross over Jerusalem Avenue. 

The Charger lost control and struck multiple parked cars then crashed into Queen Bee Nail Salon, located at 1377 Jerusalem Ave. 

Two 40-year-old employees, both women, were treated for minor injuries to their legs. They were transported to local area hospitals. 

Both drivers remained at scene and refused medical attention. 

"There is no criminality expected at this time, but the investigation is ongoing," Nassau County Police said.
